 Pick the item(s), color(s) and quantity, then start designing, right online.  It's fun and it's easy to do!  When we receive your order, one of our decoration specialists will be assigned to your account and will contact you to go over all the details of your order.  We will provide a digital pre-production sample on the item you ordered.  Only once you approve the sample will we start production.  The whole process normally takes 2 weeks from start to finish.  We charge a 20% deposit to get started and won't charge the balance until AFTER you approve the sample and we start production.

What is the difference between a logo and lettering?

A logo is an image or design; lettering is any lettering that we offer in our "stock lettering" library.

We cannot embroider licensed logos unless you hold the license.

We have a 36-piece minimum to do 3D embroidery. If you have a logo that you want done in 3D, please contact us before placing an order to see if it can be done.  The price quoted from the website is for flat embroidery; 3-D embroidery will be quoted to you separately. Please send your email to; logos@DesignCapsAndShirts.com. Please mention the logo name with 3D on the subject line.

You can upload your logo through the design lab. If unable, please send your logo via email to: logos@DesignCapsAndShirts.com Please send your logo in either of the following formats; JPG, BITMAP, GIF, TIFF, PDF and Microsoft Word. If you do not have the logo available in any of these formats, please contact us for other options. Once your order is received, we will email you a confirmation.

The complete process takes approximately 12-14 days.

Yes. We charge 50% more per piece to ship within 4 business days after the sample is approved. We charge 25% more per piece to ship within 5 business days after sample is approved. This is from the day we receive your completed order and final artwork. Cutoff time; Completed orders must be submitted by 1PM, Eastern time. Orders received after 1PM will be considered received on the following business day to determining the date of shipment. Additional "Express" freight charges may be necessary.
If you have an account with UPS or Federal Express, please give us your account number for billing. 

The price shown is an ALL INCLUSIVE PRICE which covers all set up fees, digitizing fees, a digital sample and shipping.  We allow up to 8000 stitches for the 1st location and 5000 stitches for the 2nd location when getting your item embroidered.  If your logo/lettering goes over that stitch count, we will contact you with the additional cost.  The quantity discount prices are based on the order having the same logo/lettering on all items per category.

Quantity Pricing: The more you buy the less you pay! Your price will change as you add more items of the same category to your cart. Price breaks are at; 12, 24, 36, 48, 72, 96, 144, 288, 576, 1008, 2016. Please call for a quote for larger quantities.

Most logos will usually only require up to 8000 stitches. Any stitches over the 8000 will cost an additional $0.39 per each 1000 stitches. If your logo requires more than 8000 stitches for the first location and/or 5000 for the second location, we will contact you with the additional cost, for you to approve, before we start your order.

Yes, you may if you order the minimums required for either shirts or caps. For example, you may order 12 shirts and 12 caps. You will only get the quantity discount per category.

Because of the extensive set-up time and expense required to custom embroider your logo, we have a 12-piece minimum for embroidery.

Logo position for shirts and tees: We usually will place your logo on the left chest side of a shirt or tee. You may place your logo on the opposite right side.

Logo standard size: logo designs have an average size of 3.75" wide by 2.00" tall or maximum size of 4.10" wide by 2.15" tall

Small Text: The smallest text we can embroider to remain legible is about 0.25" (6mm) high. Usually, a single line of text can only include about 20 characters and spaces before it requires the text to be split into two lines.

Logo position for caps: Most logos are centered on the middle front of the cap. You can place it off center lower left or lower right positioning (closest to the bill). On finished caps, depending on the style, we can place the logo approximately 1 ¼” from the bill. We can also place small logos on the back or either side of the cap.

Logo size for caps: Front logo designs have a maximum height of 2.25" tall (less for visors). The width may be as wide as 4.5" or more. Back and side logos are generally ½” to 1 ½” tall. The width is generally 3 .5”. Logo sizes are not exact and can vary. We cannot embroider under or on top of the bill, nor can we embroider on the back strap of the cap. Those positions can only be embroidered on the cap panels before they are assembled overseas.

Thread Colors: Your embroidery may include up to six (6) different colors at no extra charge. We add $0.10 cents per color per piece for additional colors. Most logos usually have 2 to 4 colors. We will use as many thread colors needed to complete your logo to your satisfaction. We offer some metallic thread for an extra $0.50 per piece.

 Color Matching: We will automatically try to match the colors in your artwork unless you specify otherwise. If you have a Pantone© PMS code color that you would like us to match, please specify the number for us to match it to.

Yes, you may change the thread colors twice per order at no charge on a minimum of 72 pieces. For any additional changes there will be a charge of $0.50 per piece.

You will see an edit color option in the design lab where you can make your selection. If you require a specific thread color match, you will need to provide us the Pantone color number.

Custom decorated orders: Once you place your order, we will sew out your logo within 4-5 business days on the product you ordered. We will take a picture of it and e-mail it to you at NO CHARGE for you to approve.  If you need to make changes you will be allowed to change the size of logo, thread color or logo position at no charge.  If you need a new emailed sample showing the changes, an additional $10.00 will be charged.   If you make additional changes, other than size, thread color or placement, we charge an edit-fee of $45.00, which includes a new emailed sample.   If you prefer that we send you the actual sample, there will be an additional charge of $25.00 which includes shipping your sample to you UPS ground service.

We highly recommend ordering a blank sample before starting a custom order.  You may order blank pieces from our sister site at www.CapsandShirts.com.

Custom Orders: We require a 20% deposit on all custom orders. The balance prepaid before the completed order is shipped.

With all the fraudulent activity online, we reserve the right to deny drop shipping an order paid with PayPal or any other credit card. The credit card companies will charge us back and will not stand behind the merchant if an order is drop shipped to a different address other than the registered billing address they have on file. We try our best to verify certain information that is provided by the customer so that we can ship to the requested address.

  • Returns, cancellations and changes

Custom decorated shirts & caps: Once an order is placed and the style, color and quantities have been selected, changes will incur a restock fee.  We provide a stitch-out of the sample for your approval before we start production.  Changes can only be made BEFORE your decorated sample is APPROVED for production.  Once your order goes into production, no changes can be made.  We do not accept returns on custom embroidered merchandise.
